On September 1st, the school season, Alibaba Qwen's AI assistant, Qwen APP, announced an upgrade to its learning features, adding unit writing guidance synchronized with textbooks, detailed lectures on junior high school Chinese and math textbooks, and expanding interactive explanation capabilities to high school and university-level math, physics, and chemistry problem-solving. All these features are now freely available.

In terms of writing guidance, Qwen does not directly provide model essays but instead guides students to organize their materials and structure through continuous questioning. For example, for the topic "My Beloved Item," it gradually raises questions to help students identify details worth writing about, building a thinking process from understanding the question to writing techniques. In textbook explanations, Qwen's "Small Classroom" has added content for junior high school Chinese and math, supporting explanations starting from individual chapters or knowledge points. When explaining the "quadratic equation in one variable" in the third year of junior high school, it first leads students to review the "linear equation in one variable," using old knowledge as a bridge to understand new concepts.

Another key feature is the ability to interrupt and ask follow-up questions. When students encounter "how did this step come about" during high school or university-level math, physics, or chemistry problem-solving, they can directly ask about the reasoning behind the transformation and the next steps. Qwen adjusts its explanation content and pace accordingly, continuing to guide along the question.
From providing answers to teaching thinking processes, this upgrade continues the industry trend of AI education products shifting from outcome delivery to process guidance.
